🌐General:
-New language added - French 🇫🇷! It will be available for use when miners are updated.
⛏️For miners and validators:
1️⃣We made two changes to allow for a single UID to support both a miner and a validator.
-Validator: Removed the “vpermit_tao_limit” check when selecting possible miners to query. So, now even if a UID has over 1024 Tao staked it can still be considered as a candidate miner.
-Miner: Added an optional cli parameter called “--disable_set_weight”. When True, the miner will not update its weight on the network (which would thus override the validator's weight.) So, to launch a validator/miner pair, run a validator script as usual and then run a miner script while including this new parameter.
2️⃣Reduce Score Fluctuation: We decreased the amount of change a validator makes to the scores every step by a factor of 4 by increasing the “alpha” value from 0.98 to 0.995. We have many ideas on how to reduce fluctuations, but we suggest to start with this one.
